  叶绿醇是叶绿素分子支链,在反刍动物瘤胃内通过生物氢化作用后以游离态的存在,其再经过瘤胃微生物作用会生成植烷酸。这些植烷酸会随着代谢分布在瘤胃、血液中,参与代谢沉积到奶和肉中。植烷酸具有调节胰岛素,促进脂肪酸氧化的作用,对动物机体及畜产品对人体健康都具有积极影响。青绿饲料是反刍动物重要饲料来源,优质的青绿饲料不仅蛋白质,纤维等营养成分丰富且功能性物质,如植物光合色素含量也较为丰富。本专著特别着眼于植物光合色素中色素中的叶绿素,阐述了叶绿素含量在青绿饲料中的变化,分解及其对反刍动物的影响。
