《公共艺术何为？国际视野下的北京大栅栏案例研究》是对2017年“国际公共艺术研究工作营”之“北京大栅栏历史街区更新在地性研究”项目的学术研究成果汇编。各方学者专家深入北京大栅栏地区展开调研，针对“大栅栏更新计划”中的改造案例，以跨文化视角对艺术介入公共空间、环境功能性改善以及注重文化传承、居民归属感等现象和问题提出了各自的观点，为公共艺术的理论建设、实践与教学、国际交流与合作提供了新的思路。
