浙江省普通高校“十三五”新形态教材。本书分为两个部分,即读、写部分和视、听、说部分,并分别围绕着8个主题,从全国大学英语四、六级考试的听、说、读、写的角度进行编写。阅读技能指导、听力策略指导、写作指导与单元内容有机衔接、浑然一体,既可以作为单元的一个部分(Lead In),也可以单独使用。 本书是大学英语教师通过对专业教师和学生的调研,为艺术设计类学生在大学英语学习提高阶段使用而编写的一本专业用途英语(English for Specific Purposes,ESP)教材,旨在培养艺术设计类学生的英语应用能力和设计师素养,增强他们跨文化交际意识和交际能力,同时发展他们自主学习的能力,使他们在学习、生活、社会交往和未来工作中能够有效地使用英语,满足新时代国家、社会、学校和个人发展的需要。同时,根据艺术设计类学生的思想特点,增加思政元素,引导艺术设计类学生树立正确的世界观、人生观、价值观,增强他们的团队合作意识,强化他们的责任心、社会责任感,使他们能对西方文化辩证地理解吸收,并用英语传播中国传统文化、工艺,以及构建人类命运共同体。
